Northern Virginia breast augmentation patients may anticipate a natural-looking outcome when undergoing this enhancement procedure.

Breast Augmentation and Implant Surgery

Medically known as “augmentation mammaplasty,” this procedure is designed to enhance the size and shape of the breasts. When meeting with patients, I thoroughly examine the area to be treated and discuss their ideal outcome in order to determine the most appropriate surgical method. Although both saline and silicone breast implants are available, I typically use saline implants. These allow me to make only small incisions and minimize scarring post-surgery, while provide results that look natural. Be sure to refrain from smoking approximately two weeks before the procedure and follow the diet sheet provided during your consultation. Additionally, it is important that you refrain from taking aspirin for two weeks before surgery.

After your surgery, I recommend only wearing a bra to sleep in order to prevent the breasts from shifting. You may return to work in three to four days, and exercise may be resumed in two weeks.
